Highway Design Works

The project covers the roads connecting the Ankara Interurban Bus Terminal (AŞOT) peripheral connection road to Eskişehir State Highway and Ümitköy from the Anadolu Boulevard junction and the structures on them. Total length of these roads is about 9 km, and they have 2 numbers cloverleaf interchanges, 4 bridges and 4 under crossings. Details are given below:

a)  Roads ;

A Line            :  6,02 km long expressway, each with two lanes and roads (2x2),

B Line             :  1,87 km long expressway, two roads each with three and four lanes (2x3 and 2x4),

C and D Lines : 1.0 km long urban development road, two roads each with two lanes (2x2).

b)  Junctions  ;

• Ümitköy Interchange

Whole cloverleaf interchange on Eskişehir Highway; the junction sections are 2.4 km long.

• Sincan Interchange

Half cloverleaf interchange connection A and B lines; junction sections are 1.13 km long.

c)  Bridges and Under Crossings ;

• Ümitköy Bridges

Double bridge with 2x25 m span and 2x4 lanes. While the main characteristics of each bridge are the same, their widths vary as 19.25 m and 20.75 m. The bridge consists of in-situ cast central and side abutments; precast, prestressed reinforced beams supporting these abutments and in-situ cast deck. The deck and beam system is fixed at side abutments and with movable support at the central abutment.

• Ümitköy Under Crossing

Double bridge with 29 m single span. Widths vary as 19.25 m and 15.75 m. The bridge structure is similar with Ümitköy bridge.

• Sincan Bridge

Double bridge with 2x25 m span and 2 and 3 lanes. Widths vary in both directions as 15.75 m and 19.75 m. The bridge structure is similar to the Ümitköy bridge.

• Cement Factory Connection Under crossing Bridge

Double bridge with 14 m span, 2 lanes at both direction and 15.75 m wide. The bridge structure is similar to the Ümitköy bridge.

DESIGN SERVICES:

Services carried out for the road junctions, bridges and under crossings with the characteristics defined above are given below:

• Performing the topographical surveys,
• Performing soil surveys and preparing the geotechnical reports,
• Preparing primary, preliminary, implementation and detailed designs including traffic, lighting, drainage, structural and reinforced concrete designs for all facilities in the scope,
• Producing maquettes,
• Preparing cost estimates and bills of quantities
