Description of The Work :

Faisalabad is the third-most-populous and the second largest city in eastern province of Punjab.

In wastewater treatment plants, in order to meet the standards, advanced treatment technologies are used and nutrient removal and sludge removal are achieved. Wastewater treatment plants had been designed in two stages until the target year 2020 in the first stage and until 2040 in the second stage.

For Faisalabad Wastewater Treatment Plant

Design flow:          1st stage 450.000 m3/day

                            2nd stage 680.000 m3/day

Wastewater treatment plants briefly consists of coarse and fine screens, aerated grit chambers, flowmeter chambers, anaerobic tank for phosphorus removal, aeration tanks (nitrification + denitrification) (A2O process), final sedimentation tanks, RAS and WAS pumping station, sludge storage tank, sludge dewatering building (centrifugal decanters), administration building, blower building, transformer station, workshop, guard building and other auxiliary structures. Wastewater Treatment Plant is designed in accordance with the design criteria and calculation methods of German ATV-DVWK Standards.

Adding to the preparation of BoQ and calculation of total project cost, a Financial Feasibility Study also were carried out considering all the capital and operational costs of the project as well as loan conditions for implementation of the treatment plants in the framework of PPP. Within the scope of Feasibility Study, the cost of one cubic meter of treated wastewater has been calculated and risk analysis has been carried out.

Consultancy Services (carried out in 2 Stages):

First Stage:

  • Preparation of Feasibility Study,
  • Implementation and preliminary design of wastewater treatment plants,
  • Preparation of technical specifications,
  • Preparation of BOQ and cost estimations for Construction tender.

Second Stage:

  • Preparation of detailed design including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical drawings for all components of the project as well as landscape, surrounding wall and auxiliary buildings;
  • Preparation of Mechanical Technical Specifications and detailed bill of quantities;
