The treatment prosess applied is simultaneous denitrification process with aerobic sludge stabilisation and biological phosphorus removal.
The wastewater treatment plant consists of, coarse and fine screens, sewage pumping station, aerated grit chambers, flowmeter chamber, anaerobic tank for phosphorus removal, aeration tanks (nitrification + denitrification), final sedimentation tanks, RAS and WAS pumping station, sludge dewatering building, administration building, blower building, transformer station, guard building and other auxiliary structures.

Capacity:
The wastewater treatment plant has been designed in two stages to biologically treat the domestic wastewater. The first stage will serve until 2023 and the second stage will be until 2043.
