Wastewater Treatment Plants
Keşan District in Edirne, which is located in the north-west of Turkey, is one of the most important districts in Thrace Region.
In order to meet the standards, advanced treatment technologies are used and nutrient removal is achieved.
The wastewater treatment plant has been designed in two stages to treat the domestic wastewater until the target year 2030 in the first stage and until 2045 in the second stage.
Design flow: 1st Stage 9.120 m3/day
2nd Stage 12.000 m3/day
The wastewater treatment plant briefly consists of inlet and by-pass unit, screens, sewage pumping station, aerated grit chambers, flowmeter chambers, anaerobic tank for phosphorus removal, aeration tanks (nitrification + denitrification) (Bardenpho process), final sedimentation tanks, UV disinfection unit, Disc filter for irrigation, RAS and WAS pumping station, sludge storage tank, sludge dewatering building (centrifugal decanters), administration building, blower building, transformer station, workshop, guard building and other auxiliary structures.
Wastewater Treatment Plant is designed in accordance with the design criteria and calculation methods of German ATV-DVWK Standards.
