Description of The Work :

Samsun province which is located in mid-Black Sea Region in north of Turkey is one of the most important provinces in the country. Three districts of Kavak, Ladik and Salıpazar each one with distance of 48 km, 77 km and 65 km respectively from Samsun are located in south of this city. In these districts sewerage systems are under construction, but no treatment plant exits. Also in each district there are many rural areas and communities, where the raw sewage is collected but disposed untreated in the area or it is finally disposed trough the Septic Tanks.

The scope of this project is to design 3 separate wastewater treatment plants with advance process for each district to treat raw sewage of the central part of district as well as the raw sewage of the rural areas which will be transmitted to the treatment plant by Sewage/Vacuum Trucks.

The advanced treatment technologies of Activated Sludge – Extended Aeration process have been designed in which bio-phosphorous removal and sludge treatment are included.

The wastewater treatment plant is designed in two stages to treat the domestic wastewater until the target year 2032 for the first stage and until 2047 for the second stage.

For treatment plants in Kavak and Ladik:

Design flow:          1st Stage 3.000 m3/day

2nd Stage 3.500 m3/day

For treatment plant in Salıpazarı:

Design flow:          1st Stage 2.500 m3/day

                            2nd Stage 3.500 m3/day

The wastewater treatment plant briefly consists of coarse and fine screens, aerated grit chambers, anaerobic tank for phosphorus removal, aeration tanks (nitrification + denitrification), final sedimentation tanks, RAS and WAS pumping station, sludge storage tank and valve room, sludge dewatering building (centrifugal decanters), administration building, blower building, transformer station, workshop, guard building and other related structures.

Wastewater Treatment Plant is designed in accordance with the design criteria and calculation methods of German ATV-DVWK Standards.

 

Services:

  • Topographical survey of 3 treatment plant sites;
  • Preparation of Primary Report including population projection, calculation of maximum and average flowrates, process calculations separately for each plant;
  • Preparation of functional design of 3 plants separately;
  • Implementation and detail design including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and SCADA for 3 wastewater treatment plants,
  • Preparation of technical and tender specifications, BOQ and cost estimates;
