Wastewater Treatment Plants
The purpose of the project is to improve the environmental condition of Yeşilırmak River through construction of Tokat Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The wastewater treatment plant will be a mechanical-biological plant (Biological Nitrogen Removal BNR) with physical and biological stages, consisting of water inlet chamber, screens, inlet pumping station, aerated grit and grease chamber, parshall flume, primary clarifiers, aeration reactor, secondary clarifiers, return sludge pumping station, cascade aeration chamber, gravity sludge thickeners, sludge homogenization, anaerobic sludge digester system, sludge storage tank, sludge dewatering system, treated water system for reuse (Pressured sand filter) and other auxiliary structures.
Services:
- Supervision of contractor’s detail design,
- Supervision of construction according to FIDIC,
- Technical assistance to the Municipality and the Project Implementation Unit in the form of practical training in project management and management of the WWTP during and after construction.

The wastewater treatment plant has been designed in two stages to physically and biologically treat the wastewater until the target year 2020 in the first stage and until 2035 in the second.
Design flow: 1st Stage 33.120 m3/day (200.000 persons and 33.000 industrial p.e.)
2nd Stage 43440 m3/day (270.000 persons and 44.000 industrial p.e.)
