Wastewater Treatment Plants
Rapidly developing in the last years, Torbalı has become a considerable industrial region and its population has swiftly increased. There is no sewerage system in the town, thus a significant environmental problem has arisen.
According to the new Development Plan of the town, the project area covers a land of 1,600 ha in total with 1,000 ha residential area and the rest 600 ha industrial area. Implementation designs of network, interceptors and collector lines for Torbalı sewerage system and the designs for turn-key tender of the wastewater treatment plant were prepared.
The sewerage network and interceptors consist of total 104,113 m concrete and reinforced concrete pipes with diameters between Ø 200 and Ø 600 mm, and the collector consists of 2,122 m reinforced concrete pipes with diameter of Ø 800 mm.
The wastewater treatment plant has been designed in two stages to treat biologically the domestic and industrial wastewater until the target year of 2015 in the first stage and until 2030 in the second stage. Extended aerated active sludge system has been used as the biological treatment process.

- Preparation of sewerage system implementation design and completed tender documents for wastewater treatment plant,
- Preparation of Turkish-English tender documents including the FIDIC specifications principles for the international construction tender,
- Technical support to the "Administration" in prequalification, construction tender and evaluation stages,
- Construction supervision services on behalf of the "Administration/Client",
Technical support to the "Administration/Client" in operations and maintenance stage.
