Project: Wastewater Collection System and Treatment Plants in Akarçay Catchment Basin - 2nd Part
Client : General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works / Turkey
Description of The Work :

Akarçay catchment area of 7.989 km2 is one of the important catchments in Turkey, being the source of many mineral water, springs as well as fruit and vegetable center. There are many factories in the area producing mineral water and thermal tourism. In order to protect the water sources from contamination by raw sewage discharges, design of sewerage system of 4 towns, 21 villages and clusters within the scope of this project with total population of 52.000 in the goal year of 2055 is undertaken by ER-GE. Preparation of Primary Report, Topographical Surveying,Geophysical Investigation and Detailed Design of the main sewage collection pipelines and 3 Wastewater Treatment Plants are in the scope of the work. Total length of sewage collection pipelines with diameter of 200 mm to 400 mm will be 60 km and total capacity of 3 WWTP will be 6.050 m3/day. The other issue which has been studied in the scope of this project is the application of the Sun Energy to obtain electrical power for operation of the WWTP and Pumping Stations.
