Description of The Work :

Water demand for city center of Tekirdağ was supplied from Çorlu underground water system which was established in 1970s, until the end of 1990s.

As far as the existing underground water supply did not meet the demand, Bank of Provinces prepared a Feasibility Hydrogeological Survey Report for Water Supply for city of Tekirdağ in year 1994. The Report mainly proposes the commissioning of Muratlı Underground water system and the alternative for the water supply from Naipköy Dam for the prospective years. In parallel to planning, Muratlı underground water system was also commissioned.

Naipköy Dam is in the boundary of 11th Regional Directorate of DSI and is being constructed on Isıklar Creek. It is planned to commission Naipköy Dam in year 2015 and Dedecik and İnecik Dams in year 2020.

A water treatment plant which will supply water from Naipköy Dam and Yazır pond till year 2020 to Tekirdağ city centre, Kumbağ and Barbaros neighbourhoods will be commissioned.

Having planned in this respect, Tekirdağ Water Treatment plant final capacity is 90.000 m3/day. 1st phase capacity of the plant is 30.000 m3/day and enough space for the 2nd phase of the plant is also considered in the treatment site.
